I put together some video of yesterday's bin checking. It was a good excuse to take the Merc out for an overdue cruise. Had'nt been out of the shed since early May. The old flathead fired up just fine (with a little carburetor priming) and it was a great day for scenery.

Did one of those bins have some flax in it? Looked like shiny brown kernels. Your bins look very well built - what brand are they?

Do you treat the seed wheat before planting? In North Dakota in the 1950s Dad used a treatment called Ceresan M on the seed before it was placed in the drill. Ceresan M was a very bright pink powder. Had to be handled in open-air only. We actually sprinkled it on the seed as the seed came out of the fanning mill. Not a nice job.
