Injection Line Leaks

I am working on my pulling tractor with a Stanadyne pump, I am fighting fuel pump leaks at the banjo fittings for
the injector lines. Is there a better gasket than the steel washers that come with the pumps?

I should have said the standard is steel, but I am not happy with them, I have them as tight as I can get them with a 9/16" wrench and am still getting leaks.

Maybe Dieseltech will come by but I believe he likes the washers CAV supplies. The are still steel but a different alloy.

He is the first pump guy to send me one back that didn't leak.

Use CAV DPA 5936 332C mild steel washers, seat each bolt with two new washers then go 1/2 turn more and you're done. Stanadyne 16225 hard steel don't always seal well. If there's port damage where the washer seals on hydraulic head, then I'll use copper as they are slightly larger to seal in a different spot. Saves replacing an expensive head assembly.

For what it's worth, I have heard that you need to fix those leaks soon because the fuel can actually wear a groove, and then it's twice as hard to fix.

I have used in the past, a spray on sealer on copper washers, also steel washers, the soft metal will seal better, with less damage to the housing. you might try a stone on the ports, if you have already tried to repair housing, might be a burr hanging up your seal.
