Got it done Monday, home Tuesday. LOTS of pain that I didn't have the first time. Lower part was OK so he only replaced the cup, liner and ball.

The old set was a chrome ball and a cobalt liner. Replacement is ceramic ball and a poly-something liner.

Thanks for all the support. I was completely miserable most of Tuesday, all night and Wednesday morning. Mid morning on I felt great, very little pain.

Do your rehab, is the pain from the incision or in the joint? 5 years ago I had both mine done, 90 days apart. The pain from the surgery was nothing compared to what I was going through beforehand. Sounds as if this is a second time around. How long did the first one last?

This is the second time? It could be scar tissue from the first surgery but I certainly am not a doctor so take it with a grain of salt. Best wishes for healing.
