Does anyone have a picture of what the 3 point hitch sway control is supposed to look like on a Ford 4000?
Thanks
Pete

There is a bar/strap that goes from pin with lynch pin to bracket under axle hsg. They have 2 holes in one end for Cat 1 other Cat 2 . I have 1 don't know weather left or rite. It dosent fit my 5000.

Just happened to have this pic on my puter.

This is the way it came when Dad bought it new, with the sway chains on the outside of the lift arms. It's a Belgium built 4000, don't know if that makes a difference.

Hi Pete

You could look this up on new holland website. My English built 5000 has chains same as Fred's 4000. Had a 3000 with nothing so added some after market chains. I prefer chains to sway bars had those on a MF 35 difficult to hook up.

They are actually called a stabilizer bar and not a sway bar. The sway bar hooks to where the top link hooks and bottom ends hook to ends of the 11 hole cross drawbar. The stabilizer bars and brackets are the same for all 9N up thru the 64 4000 tractor as long as they are not a row crop version. And this site has then with pictures for those tractors. Now the 65 up 3 cylinder tractor takes a different setup And the 5000 under axle brackets are different than the 3 cylinder 4000 tractor. I don't know about the 4000 with the 28" wheels if they are the same as the 4000 (4100) tractor with the 38" wheels Or the 4200 row crop tractor.
