Ford 3415 - Give me the good and bad.

Guys, right in the middle of the season now and my utility tractor with loader has crapped the bed. Maybe fixable long term, maybe not. I'm going to have to buy and buy fast.

I have to have a loader, that is non-negotiable. Gotta have it.

I need between 40 and 50 diesel HP. Have to run a 6 foot brush hog, but a total of 5 hours per year so not that much. Also have 800 pound 3 point disc.

Give me the lowdown on what you know about the Ford 3415. Found a nice looking one with loader, less than 1k hours.

I know this is a Shiburu Ford.

- Is the PTO rotation right? Assume it is because it's a US market Ford, but...

- General reputation? Good / bad.

- Known issues or common faults?

Looks like close to what I'd need, but I'd have to buy it sight unseen and have it trucked, so want to be reasonably sure of what I"m getting into.

Many thanks.

A friend has one that he bought new about 20 years ago. He just uses it to cut grass around his airport. No loader. He's had
nothing go wrong but he maintains his equipment meticulously. Personally, it looks a bit on the light side for loader work but that
depends on what is meant by "loader work". If the price is right, and you think it will do what you want, then go for it. Around my
neck of the proverbial woods, any tractor that says Ford on it sells for big $$$.

Those little Ford tractors are pretty good some of the parts are
hard to get but other than that I’d buy one shibara still makes
the new Holland compact tractors

Good info.

I use the loader mainly to cart rock off of fields, so I can control the amount loaded.

It's very, very difficult to find 40-50 HP tractors, with good loaders already installed. I don't have the time to chase all over looking for a loader for a tractor, so I really need to find the tractor that already has one.

I'm not a brand fan, I don't care if the tractor is green, yellow, blue, or red, or pink for that matter. Lots of Kubota and Deere around here, but you'd have beeter luck finding a unicorn at a good price than getting a 40 HP orange or green tractor at a good price, if you can find one at ANY price.

I gotta keep pounding the ads...

Many thanks.

certain parts... like hydraulic pumps,, on some of the ford shubura tractors are not available. Have had to modify them to a pto pump to keep the loaders working. Would seem the japanese only design a 5 year parts support structure as they believe you should replace your tractor every 5 years.... As I have seen this many times, so I would not buy a compact tractor from any of the brands.

Other wise they are/were tough and reliable tractors in the 10 year life cycle... Also ford sold way more than the designed the parts for.

Is this the case on the 3415 or are you just saying that in general this can be an isssue? Are the pumps not rebuildable on these tractors?

Everything except Deere seems to have the "you can't get parts" issue for some models. I don't want to buy the worst of the worst, but I don't want to be scared off of good tractors by the parts fears.
