I know I could search all day and maybe find what I'm looking for, BUT, you guys know this off the top of your head: What's a typical ID for the hydraulic suction hose between the reservoir and the pump, to run a FEL, on a 30 hp tractor? A 10-11 gpm pump. I'm thinking either 3/4 or 1"?

janicholson is right but bigger on the suction side is better never skimp on the suction side and like he said it must be suction hose or it can be regular hyd. hose when in doubt make it stout

Take your fittings or the size of the fitting the hose goes on to any reputable hydraulic shop and they will fix you up. It does need to be suction hose though. I have used regular hydraulic hoe for some things too.

Thank's guys. Since this is new fab I had nothing to go on but intuition. But 3/4 it will be, and spiral wire to keep it from collapsing. On to fixing all the pinhole leaks in the welds on the support/tank frame and I'll start plumbing. Thanks, again. Steve

My problem is almost always stout overkill. I have cheap access to 1" but it is big and clunky. I'm trying to curb my desire to make it bigger and badder than it needs to be. My recent back blade weld- up is a prime example. But I keep telling myself the extra weight makes it cut better! And it won't bend or break if I hit a boulder now and again. steve
