KM toolbox step

Does anyone have this style step and how do you like it? I can't find any dimensions on it. Anyone know how far it sticks out and how low does it hang? My neighbor and I use my tractor hooked up to his moco to mow hay. It's a JD 4430. He's getting a little older and reaching from the step to the front tire to fuel up is getting more difficult for him. He actually fell off last year but didn't get hurt. I always fuel the tractor up before he uses it but he insists on fueling it back up after using it on his ground. With my work schedule especially lately with mandatory overtime he can mow when I can't. I bought the smaller green step thinking it would help but it sits to close to the tractor and makes you try to lean over the tractor and he doesn't have the use of one hand so he can't hang on very well. The other one looks like it will stick out further but it almost looks like it might hit the tire. I know I'll have to buy the toolbox separately but I wanted to do that anyway.

Yea, they don’t say much about the step dimensions, just the toolbox itself.

Any chance of finding a pair of old school front fenders? Back in the day we had a set - Hiniker- for the 4020, 4430 and 4440. Still have the two bigger ones and the fenders...
They had a step on the back of the fender to step up and a level platform to stand the equivalent of above the tire. Great for fueling, keeps the tractor cleaner and look cool. To this old guy they look cool anyway.

Believe it or not when my dad bought this tractor it had those style Hiniker fenders on the front. They're still in the barn. He loved them for fueling up but they would get mud packed up in them bad. I was just a kid at the time but I would think they would do the same with loose hay and drag the windrows. I did forget about them though and might think about it.

Since the step is outside the box and the box is 10 inches deep I would guess the whole thing would stick out about a foot and a half from the frame. Length is about 2 feet long according to the dimensions listed for the box. Why not just mount a longer step from the tank back to the top step by the cab. There is the handle to hold on to along the hood. A hook could be made to hook the hose over up by the tank . Or maybe a step that slides out from the tank area to drive up near to then slide out or such to use. there's a million ways to do it.
