Cant fix stupid

AC not working very well, so tell wife to keep heat out of house, keep blinds closed. She leaves them open, then puts a cake in the oven.
 
In the summer one should keep the blinds close during the day even if the A/C is working well and if your going to bake do it in the evening when it is cooler out
 
About a month ago I was working on outside pvc water pipe that was attached to foundation but loose. I had to stop midway for another developing crisis, so I tell wife be careful if you have to use hose the pipe is loose. Less than ten minutes later wife comes to me and says I need to turn water off the pipe broke....here's your sign.
They are all sisters. I just finished work on pipe because I was still too hot to look at it.
 
Good luck with a tech,I called mine three weeks ago to find the leak we both know the system had last fall. His text messages say he has not forgotten me. The window unit is going in tomorrow.
 
OK, so we can change who was stupid.

Found out it was peach pie, she stopped making that after cooking the casserole that was in the oven. I ended up having to eat the casserole with no pie.

I got two window AC units out of my shop, temp is coming down now.

I bet that she mows the grass in the wrong direction and puts the cloths away without folding them first also .
 
It was 86F here yesterday, and very humid. And if my wife has pie in the oven, that’s A-Ok with me!! Our old farm house is as big as a barn, and with windows open, convection currents suck the hot air up the open stairs ways and out the upstairs windows. Baking and roasting goes on winter and summer here, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
 
Growing up we had no air conditioning just like 99% of the rest of the people I knew,plus we had a wood cook stove for preparing meals and canning.I could live just fine without AC shade trees in the yard in the day and a fan out on the big side porch with a cot at night to sleep on.When we built the porch 16 X 42 with a ft 4ft overhang we had Summers in mind also 3 ceiling fans on the porch.Porch is up off the ground about 10ft so it catches a pretty good breeze most of the time.
 
Good morning David, I would gladly trade places with you if it were possible. I lost my wife, a wonderful woman, to cancer in October, 2018. The loneliness is horrible. I would give anything to have her back again. Appreciate what you have because what would your life be like without her. She deserves hugs and kisses!
 
I have a wife and at least one kid that leaves the windows open for fresh air with the AC on. Can not seem to get them to understand .
 
somebody here came back from town with the replacement 4" sewer pipe to replace the broken section. Then the next thing she does is go into the house and flush the toilet.
 
I bet that closing the blinds makes little difference. The sun hits the blinds closed any way. My renters keep the blinds and curtains closed year around and pay high electric bills for lites on 24 7, now that is not smart.
