These have been around for a while.
You have to watch where you use them as the solder starts to melt at just over 200 F.

John, probably a dumb question, but at about what temperature would the insulation on say a #12 stranded wire melt? I generally route wires along the top of the engine along the valve cover to get to the distributor and headlights, it gets pretty hot up there, never checked actual temperature. gobble

I'm thinking engine compartment wire is in the 250F range.
Outside the engine compartment can use cheaper wire that stand up to lower temps.

But it's pretty obvious from the video that this solder will liquefy before the wire coating will melt.

I don't know that but if you run 90 amps through 14 gauge it will start to smoke.
