Replacement for Ford 6610

I do not need to, but want to replace my 87 6610 with newer cab tractor. The engine on that is 85HP, I am looking at a JD 5083E, JD 5085M, NH T4 series.

The New Hollands are a lot less than the Deere, and I really do not put a lot of hours on them, less than 100 per year. I originally was looking at JD E series, but they looked a little light compared to the M series.

Advice and comments encouraged.

Just a comment as I really dont know much about newer tractors but I'd be inclined to go with the New Holland, I think they are excellent machines (someone will correct if I'm wrong) I heard really good things tho and unlike the deere you dont have to sell any body parts to pay for them (an arm and a leg at least). Plus I've not driven a new Holland but I did drive a jd 5 series and I was not fond of the shifting if I remember right you had a lever on both sides of you? Idk I didn't like it. I'd also test drive multiple tractors before you commit.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Make sure you do not get one with DEF, especially since you are putting low hours on one. DEF tractors that are used harder seem to have less DEF related problems. I have a customer who bought a Case, just uses it to move & feed round bales, some light disking & seeding. It?s been in the shop more than he has used it.
I have a 2012 NH T5070 which is pre-DEF. been a trouble free unit, so far, probably just jinxed myself. LOL. Ride is a touch choppy but that?s pretty much the case with most utility tractors due to the shorter wheelbase. At the time I bought this I looked at all 3 colors. Kubota had a smaller cab, Deere had a much larger price tag, NH had comfortable cab, lower price than Deere.

if you have a good 6610 fordyou would be better off keeping it and saving your money because you are not going to find anything better

The M series JD are some really good tractors. With that said, I think you might have a hard time finding a good used one. Reward yourself.....Don't buy it because you need it, buy it cause you can.

I have enough farm income to depreciate it, money is not issue, I want something more comfortable.

At 85 horse you could move into a Waterloo built tractor and have the cab as well as all the other comforts for similar money with better set up. Made here at home instead of some foreign land.

DAVID...DONT HATE ME...PLEASE LOOK INTO KUBOTA...GET HST, NO SHIFTING...AT LEAST, SIR, DRIVE ONE...THEY ONLY WENT TO TIER 4, LATE 2012...FOR DEALER DISTANCE, THEY WONT NEED MUCH...TRULY...SHOULD BE ONE @ RESONABLE DISTANCE...YOU WILL BE GLAD...I AM...NIK, AGE 78, VIET VET...BE BLESSED, GRATEFUL, PREPARED...

X2 on checking out Kubota. I own a 2011 70HP M7040 cab/fel that I bought used in 2012 with a 137 hrs on tach. It now has 1600 hrs on the tach & it's never been to dealer or technician. I utilized it it pull my rd baler this week,

3X Kubota. They depreciate so little that cost of ownership is next to nothing. HST or Glide shift.
