Flags for Veterans?

With this wuhan flue going around it looks like putting American Flags on Veteran's graves won't happen everywhere. I was at local graveyard and there were Flags on the marked graves of veterans. My Father's grave doesen't have one of the bronze plaques although his stone has his Rank and Service Info. I placed my own Flag. Not the point. Check out this on goggle.

Appears the National Cemetery Administration has decided against organizations (such as the Boy Sccouts) placing flags at the gravestones this year.
As well as canceling all Memorial Day events.
They will allow families and individuals in to place flags however.
But not organised groups.

Our fire dept guys are getting together tomorrow to put up flags at our local cemetery. Over 60 last count. Supposed to be raining. My Dad fought in the rain in Korea. The least I can do is get rained on putting up a flag up for him.

I've been putting flags on 2 small graveyards for a lot of years and I put the flags on Wed. the 20th of May. No problem getting flags from the Veterans office in our county court house here in northeastern Pa. Thanks to all veterans every where.

We were in Roseau, MN today at the clinic. Next door is a cemetery. Small flags flying all over.

I should also mention that there has only been one confirmed case of this virus in the entire county, and that person is long recovered by now. Still, kinda surprising how many folks are still going full-tilt in the area with the safety gear. Probably 30% to 40% wearing safety gear, though not all of them properly using it.

I agree with joe everyone be careful and if nothing else have a small salute. But yes the flags should be put on graves I did 2 cemeteries Wednesday and very happy to do it 🇺🇸

Drove through Kimballton, Iowa yesterday and they were putting up small flags with plans on putting the large ones up on Monday. He said they have 2 cemeteries.

I took care of the 7 cemetery's or legion is in charge of last weekend, we were the first in the area to have the flags out. There was no order or decree that would have stopped me from putting the flags out,it's the least I could do for those that gave me so much.

Our local cemeteries avenue of Flags - Weather permitting we will put up 80 this year
We use full size casket Flags. We put up and take down the poles every year
Each pole has the vets name and service on an engraved placard

My son and I will be placing flags tonight at a local cemetery with his Boy Scout troop. They unfortunately canceled the Memorial day parade this year.

County VFW apparently is not willing too provide the flags this year, at least not for this weekend. I assume it is because they hope to do something county-wide later in the year, but I don't know what. We have the Girl Scouts willing to put them out, but no flags available.

This really hurts, reading of places not willing to place flags. Since I was a boy memorial day has always held special meaning for me,I pray this is not the way of the future.

Here in Mid Mo, the decision was made to just hold the 21 gun salute and flag ceremony. No speakers this year but flags in all the local cemeteries and lining both major highways through town.
