I?m desperately looking for Simms 2958 dextra line #4 fuel line diesel I Accidentally broke it on a ten year start up thanks anyone who can help

Could you please give a more complete discription of the fuel line and where it goes.

I find no No.4 line 2958 for a Dexta. Perhaps if you give a Ford part number that would help. The Dextas only had three high pressure lines leading from the injection pump to the injectors. Is this what you mean? Where did you get the number?

The pipe number starts with a 957E number like 957E993176a for the number three injector pipe.

Ten year start up?

Yup sat ten years tryed. 3 days zero them some smart
Knowledgeable person said takeoff the cover and put automatic
transmission fluid on the valves and let it sit overnight I?ll be damned
if that didn?t work when I start it off I had the one line off and it broke
off the bead wrecked line I only had a disconnected to see if any if
you were to come out I never expected it to start up

Estraub58,

I think I finally understand what you are talking about. Your tractor is not a Dexta (Dextra) It is a 1958 New Major or Power Major. I finally was able to look at the pictures, but they were too close up. I cannot make out the serial number, but that would help greatly in determining your model.

I think you might be looking for part number E1ADDN993177A. That is the fuel pipe for the number four cylinder, but it may be for an earlier model. I am not sure but that is the best I can do so far.

I have looked farther. Ebay has new injector pipes for both early and newer Fordsons, but they have to be shipped from the U.K. If you have a diesel repair shop near you they may be able to make a No.4 pipe or know someone who can make one.

Major man knows a lot better than me by on a log scale. That is why he is called Major man.

Thanks for info I?ll try to share some close The pictures of the Simmons number and engine number I don?t know if it supposed to be a zero instead of trying Of the triangleor not but I?ll try to do the pictures

Thank you Estraub58,

Your tractor is a 1959 Fordson Super Major.

The serial number 1509504 corresponds to Super Majors made in 1959.

The number below is from the Official New Holland parts site. I cannot guarantee that it is correct, but that is what is listed.

Injector pipe for number 4 injector is:
E1ADDN993177A

There are some listed on ebay, but you will have to go by shape and try to make sure the suffix "A" is there. Again, I cannot guarantee this is right. Some of the vendors have the whole set rather than individual pipes.

The Simms pump is also listed as a pneumatically governed pump. Make sure you add oil to the pump. This is not a minimec and may not have a plug to add oil. I am not sure what the "P" number is.

Again one of the best people to answer these questions is Major Man. He is in the U.K.

CORRECTION:

I said Estraub58's tractor was a Super Major. I transposed. The tractor is a Power Major. I think it still has the same No. 4 pipe number.
