Siphon pipe in gasoline fuel tank

I need to buy a siphon pipe to complete putting the pump on my fuel tank. Should I use galvanized pipe or just black pipe. Read some on google but really did not find a good answer. Any advice or tips appreciated

I used pvc on my pump.But either black or galvanized would work too.

You can buy a 1" telescoping suction pipe made specifically for your pump for about $25.

I used pcv in my diesel tanks, but didn't think it would hold up continously immersed in gasoline....it will?
