Alright fellas, I'm needing more help. This
may sound like a stupid amateurs question but
I'm about at my end. I replaced the PTO
fiber disc and got it all put back
together. Now, why is it that without the
bush hog on I can get the PTO to engage but
once I get the bush hog home up at it wants
to do is grind, what an I doing wrong??
What is the proper procedure for this
tractor? We had a Ferguson when I was
younger but that's been years, desperately
need help!! Thank you!

Lee, welcome to YT! It apparently is not disengaging. I agree with coshoo you will get better response down on the Oliver forum, and you may do better if you proof read your post before hitting submit.

Sounds like the clutch is not disengaging.

Without a load, all you are engaging is the shaft, it spins up instantly and goes into gear.

With the mower attached, you have all that inertia at rest, the gears grind because it is much more difficult to get spinning than the unloaded shaft.

There is probably an adjustment procedure. Go to the Oliver board, someone can walk you through it.
