Have you looked at some of the new Bobcat machines? Last time I opened the rear door on a new one at the dealership, it scared me....

Seriously, when a blown hose requires you to all but pull the engine, just to access the line, things have gone way too far.

Sadly people will happily spend big money on these new machines, just for the amenities, and give no thought to the long term repair costs/problems these machines present.

That's not to say older machines don't have their problems, as dumb engineers have been around for a long time, but these newer machines have gotten ridiculous, and they have gone to the greatest extreems to shovel 10 lbs of crap into a 5 lb sack......

Ah yes a JCB.. You have to learn to cuss and swear in "Proper English".
We have one of there telahandlers at work..

where are you getting parts from? There is only 2 dealers on this side of the state that I know of..

Every time I thought I about had it I found five more things to get undo on it . I would own this thing unless you gave me enough money that I Would never have to work on it again Just call the dealer . 10 lbs of crap in a 5 pound sack is about right

British iron is no fun working. I had a 1962 XKE. Have to pull engine to replace clutch or U joints. No fun working the the Dana rear end which I think may be British. everything was British metric.
Have fun.
geo.

One of the retired guys bought one and it had custom wheels and he didn?t want em so he swapped the boss for the stock ones

Geo, Dana is an American Fortune 500 company. Been around for over 100 years. There stuff is used by manufactures all over the world.

Those British standard fasteners are a good time I?ve only see them on one Massey Ferguson tractor
