Farmall M carburetor markings

I'm rebuilding my carb and i noticed ie had some other Mark's other than the casting number. A number 4 centered on one side of the bowl and a letter T on the same side as the casting number but at the bottom edge of the bowl. Anyone know what they mean? Thanks.

The only numbers that are associated with the model or getting correct parts are the ones on the copper disk rivet to the carb. Jim

I know that. I was just curious if there is knowledge out there to the number and letter I mentioned. Thank you though.

If my memory is working, didn't some of the early SH's use M carbs. Or was it that M carbs would fit with slight modification & wake a SH up some. I was in HS when the SH first came out & thought it might be fun to hopp it up, so did a little research. Don't remember for sure though.

Just my OPINION, without any evidence, my BELIEF, is they are foundry markings, to indicate something like the shift, or the crew, or the time of year, something like that, maybe the foundry. I seem to remember my H has similar markings.
