Older truck

I'm looking at an older F600 truck. This is a bit larger than I'm used to and some of the systems I haven't messed with in 40 years or even at all, like the hydrovac brakes. Is there a source for a Chiltons type manual on these? I'm not seeing anything in the searches I've done.

Search for "MOTOR truck repair manual" on ebay, (prices are quite reasonable) or go to faxonautoliterature.com.

I may have a Motors manual that covers it. I'll try to remember to check this evening, it's my Grandsons Graduation day. I have a lot of auto and truck manuals that I got from a shop that closed down a year or so ago. There must be around a hundred of them to go through and I know it will be the last one I look at (always is ).If I have it $10. plus shipping should be fair.

Thanks Keith, it's allegedly a 1978. I have to get a shot of the vin plate and research that as the owner can't find the old registration. Thanks !

(quoted from post at 11:53:30 05/12/20) Lots of luck finding parts, like backing plates and
wheel cylinders.

I know there are issues with the OLD ones, but late 70's isn't that bad I read.

Check E-bay or similar. I was able to get the correct OEM shop manual for my '64 F-600 there. It was really helpful to have for this truck.

He didnt say what year. I think the lucas girling brakes were mid eighties. You are right about running away from them. I have a real nice 1979 F600. No rust.
