Ruts is waterway--

Last fall when we went to combine the beans in the fields west of the house we soon found that the water was running across the top of the ground and down the waterway for the inlet to catch the water that flows under the road was plugged. We combined it but the combines and the cart left some big ruts in the water way--so instead of tearing the whole thing up I took a little 12 ft. field cultivator I made and went up and down the it real slow at first to level it out. Then took my Ford 860 with the 3 pt. seeder and put down some oats with brome grass. Old school fix but I think it will work. We got 1/2 in. of rain Tues. so it is just right.---Tee

Ran RPM real slow for was not taking a very wide swath and pulled coil tine drag behind it to cover seed

Used the Deere with duals to firm the seed in the soil

Son took my picture as I was seeding--I felt like Oliver Douglas on Green Acres--I caught myself singing--GREEN ACRES IS THE PLACE FOR ME!!!!!!

Big Tee, I like your set up. Did Gandy make the seeder? My dad had one like it and I want to find another for seeding my horse pasture.

Not sure who made it--I bought it on a consignment sale years ago--will look tomorrow for the brand--Thanks---Tee
