Have you ever seen the pictures of the Allis Chalmers Beach Master? I think it was a 190XT if I remember right. Was on the Allis Chalmers board several years ago. The guy had found and restored it, I think the tin was a mess from the salt air, if I remember right.

I fellow that I know had the contract with the state for a few years cleaning the most popular beach. In the early morning hours the headlights would light up some activity, and they said that often that activity wouldn't stop despite the lights.

Last year at gulf shores they had a kubota cleaning the beach real early in the morning.

So, if it's not flat no one will show up. Looks like a waste of time. It would be fun sometime to scoop up sand after a big holiday , and run it through a screen. Might be profitable also. Stan

The one pictured looks like just a cross between a land leveler and a box blade.

The ones run on gulf coast beaches look like a cross between a round baler and potatoe harvester.
It pulls the sand up into it, sifts it for junk, lays it back down and then levels it out.

The one my friend had both cleaned and leveled, so it took a good sized tractor. Straw boss, it was a state bid job. They had to bid on it. They didn't get paid for the size of the tractor, He had very little extra power.

Talk about govt. waste reminds me of when I worked for the State Hwy Dept. We bid a lease plan for summer ditch mowing tractors. An IHC dealer PAID us for every hour we put on the tractor just as long as we didn't
exceed a certain number of hours. All summer mowing we didn't come close to the max. This went on for a number of years, I'm not sure how many.

In Maroma Beach Mexico, south of Cancun, they use a tractor with a type of hay rake with a hopper to take up sea weed every morning.
