Funny, I was watching a movie a couple of days ago, made back in 1958 (Turner Classic Movies, Dish 132) as I recall and there was the usual bullying cycle gang and a redneck with an 18 wheeler taking out some of the bikes. Later he came back with a garbage truck, the kind with the loader on the front that picks up stuff and over the cab dumps it in the rear, picking up what was left of the bikes and dumping them in with the trash. It was a Clint Eastwood movie with Ms. Locke and had his humor....didn't catch it but he may have been the director.

On the Bandit, I heard, just recently, that there was some hanky-panky involved while filming......course that "charming" guy who, in his own admittance in the movie admitting, "doing what I do best" (showing off), he was a good looking guy to tempt a gal.

Last year, I went and picked up a tractor on the farm where a lot of that movie was filmed South of Atlanta.
Lady told me her grandfather kept coming down to where they were filming and they would have to ask him to leave so they could keep working.
The pond where Fred went swimming was right there also.

A couple scenes in "Smokey and the Bandit" kickstarted the "Dukes of Hazard".

"Egotistical son of a b$tch. Anybody who would paint his truck like that would go to a minsters funeral dressed in feathers" 😄
Favorite movie of all time.
