I built this lapstrake plywood canoe over twenty years ago, but I really haven't used it much. It's 11-1/2 feet long, made from 4 mm okume plywood and weighs about 35 pounds. It was built from plans and a book, both from Maine boatbuilder Tom Hill. This particular design is named "Charlotte" and is pretty popular.

You can find more about Tom Hill and his designs on his Facebook site.

Very nice. There has been a 'wooden boat' festival here for many years, and it is a joy to see the craftsmanship and care taken of these vessels. Some are very old and beautiful, some are new and beautiful. Yours would fit right in.

We have a wooden boat festival every year about 9 miles from my house.
There is also a local class you can take where a instructor helps you build your own wooden boat from plans.

While a canoe is nice and more stable most around here build flat bottom pirogue's
Nothing like getting into a flat bottom narrow unstable small boat with a antsy dog to go duck hunting.

> I hope you store it in your living room.

I've suggested that to my wife from time to time, but she has been decidedly unenthusiastic about the idea.
