2950 Hydraulic clutch follow up

I finally got it to work after 4 more hours of frustration. After working on it for 2 hours I decided to pull the slave cylinder off and bleed it on the work bench. It worked!! The clutch works better now than it has in several yrs. Thanks to those that responded on my previous post.

Glad it worked out for you! Different scenario, but I wonder how many automotive brake master cylinders are installed on vehicles by do it yourself?ers with out bench bleeding. Then they wonder why it is so difficult to bleed the brake system at the wheels. I?ve put on many bench bled master cylinders without bleeding the entire system. If you know what your doing a quick bleed at the connections to the MC and then a little easy pedal pushing while watching the fluid in the open reservoir while you work out any remaining air.
