Myanmar's are a bit mor beat up than that. They have run a thing or two through that shouldn't. I may turn them one day. Sure do like using that mill and it does a good job. Interesting the different names folks use for things like we talked about. I see Case called it a hammer mill and I always called the fixed hammers mills grinders and the swinging hammer mills hammer mills. Guess that was wrong.

hey Jon, if your wrong,I bet that makes a bunch of us wrong. I don't like that so let's just say "you were right Jon" :)

boy I wish dad could of had one of them. We had a small dairy and fed home grown oats, milo, and corn. We'd grind into a pickup bed trailer, spread it out between grains and spread some cotton seed meal, wheat bran and then give it a good mixing with a grain scoop. I imagine the thoroughness of the mix depended on Dad's presence or lack thereof at the time. The gurnseys didn't seem to mind though.

I guess I could have added the pic of mine, we sold it new in 1968, the man who bought it told me it ground 12 loads of barley before he stopped using it and bought another farm,, I had to replace a few things he broke

Dad had a Case flat belt driven stationary hammer mill. Shoveled grain in to
the pickup box, then into the mill. And we had to shovel over the belt!
Grindings went into an old wooden building, called the ground feed bin (duh)!!
Usually powered the mill with a Deere G. If you could shovel fast enough,
you could make that ole' G really snap through out the exhaust.
Sometimes used and IHC MD, but it didn't spin the mill fast enough, so it took a bit longer.
Oh, and run a bolt or some similar thing through the mill?!?!?!
Oh My Goodness! What a noise!!!!! Shut'er down, and and fine what what
was in there!!!
