Got a call the other day from the ZEP rep. telling me that if i placed and order , i was about to call anyway to get my usual case of penetrating fluid , that he had a buy one case and get a second case FREE and that they have just come out with a SUPER new penetrating fluid and the special price for the case was 115 dollars and change . Told him ok send me two cases of the 45 and let me try two cases of the NEW . Four days later FED X pulls up and the driver comes up the five steps off the side walk carrying four cases and gets to the FIVE steps coming up on the ft. porch and air mails them the rest of the way one can let go instant mess the box is soaked and i have 16 ounces running across the wood . At least that piece will not have any termites in it . Called Fed X and it was like who cases , so i called Zep and let them know that i will not buy anymore from them if they are going to ship Fed X and now one can short on the order , The girl i was talking to was pleasant and said she could not just ship one can as they would have to break a case BUT they did have a THREE pack and she would ship that at no charge. Myself and my friends have been using this Zep products going on 52 years and i have found nothing that will match it or even come close .

some companies treat you right and some don't. I went to get 02 yesterday. a sign on the door said call ahead and they would curbside it. it was almost lunch so I went back home, about 3 miles, ate lunch and called after 1 pm. fellow said come on and come in the warehouse from the side. i got there and he had my cylinder ready, paid, and got ready to leave. he asked if I had come earlier and i said yes. he saw me but couldn't get to the front before I left. he thanked me at least 3 times for coming back and not going else where. this place has always given good service - Re

Yep, it seams with this virus thing everybody has stepped up their game. I just called my seed dealer and said I need 6 more bags of corn. I will be there in 20 minutes. He said-what farm you on? I will bring it to you and dump it right in the planter.

Fed-Ex pulled in the house drive Wednesday with a three case order for me. I hollered over from the shop door to just set it right there by the driveway and I'd get it. The sooner it's out of their hands, the better, in my experience.

We are in the back of now where and Fex -X is one of our best carriers. Guy always drives to the shop and if no one is here he puts it inside. Guess it all depends on who one has for a driver.

I got a good deal this morning myself. I went to the parts store to get a 1 3/8 Welch plug or freeze plug as some call it for my DC Case, he came from the back with a handful of 20 of them and said they're not listed on my inventory so you can have them.

Fed-X left two 2 1/2 gallon jugs in a box of Farm chemicals I ordered 20 ft out in the middle of the drive from my three car garage which had two doors opened the other day. I saw her from out back where I was shoveling corn into the feed grinder with the tractor screaming wide open and knew I couldn't get up there in time. If I wouldn't have seen it my wife may have run right over my 400 dollar box when she came flying up the drive like she usually does coming home in her van.

The driver is the key. We have had the extremes in service both ways.....good and bad. Seems like we never get the same driver with Fed X, but the UPS driver (Jim) has delivered here for yrs.

Fed-Ex does not deliver out here until he has several deliveries to make out in this neighborhood. I have purposely hung around the house all day because of a scheduled Fed-Ex delivery, and he never showed up. I have STOPPED doing business with on line stores that use Fed-Ex exclusively.

Never had any problems with UPS.

There's no question that UPS has a better business model than Fedex. In 40 years with UPS we've had maybe just a couple problems. With Fedex we have several problems per month. We're to the point now that for online purchases and regular vendor shipments to us we demand UPS shipping or we won't deal with them.

Fed-Ex has two branches. Fed -ex air uses fed ex employees. Fed Ex ground and residential uses dedicated contractors. Lot of variation in quality.

I'm going to have to disagree. In my area, in most cases, I demand Fed Ex Ground if I'm paying the freight. UPS will have at least one damaged/opened box, 4 days out of 5, and the driver gets an attitude when I make him mark it as damaged. Delivery times can vary as much as 2 hours. A&I Products closed their Charlotte, NC warehouse, that I got overnight service from, via regular UPS, so they ship UPS NDA, but I only pay for ground service. Four days ago, they lost a 66#, 28" PAVT rim at the air terminal in my nearby city!

UPS quality of sevice has been declining ever since they unionized and their rates have gone thru the roof!

FedEx delivers within a 15 minute time range every day, at a reasonable rate, and hardly ever damages a package!
