Garden plowing

Now I really enjoyed this video very much from start to finish. I like the way you get your family involved. I also learn a lot from your videos as well as those posted by the other members. Thanks!

Yes, nice video, what kind of plow is that? Looks a little my Dearborn 2 bottom plow?

I'm surprised the tractor pulls that 3 bottom plow so easily in our dirt. Think my 4 cylinder 4000 would do it? Those blueberries are going to make some great biscuits!

Looks good. Also looks like it might be just a tad damp for plowing. It is hard to see well ,it looks like the rear end is a bit deeper than the front. Though it could just be the way it looks. I have also never plowed with a plow that small nor a mounted plow. Usually use a trailer plow. At home they were all trailer plows. Used a what is called a semi mount plow those suck for plowing makes to big a headland to plow when done.

After reading all the comments and watching the video there are a couple things I would do to make it a little better. With the plows in the air I see they are level across, they need to be so the left plow will plow the same depth as the right when in the ground. In the video the front plow has dirt coming over the moldboard and the rear plow has hardly any. After the plow is hooked to the tractor, pull the left rear tire up on a 6x6 block of wood then adjust your plows so they are level for a 2 bottom. On a 3 bottom you might need a little bigger block (I only have a 2 bottom now and can't remember how much I put under the tire on 3 bottoms but you'll figure it out. On the disc, shorten the top link a little so the front disc will also dig in and ther disc will pull level. Just a couple things I've learned over the years. Now it will make the 960 work a little harder with another plow digging in a little more but the furrow depth will all be pretty close. This works on the 2 bottom plows as well. Keith
