Thanks for putting out pictures everyday. I look forward to as I do Jon's funny. I am sure it has been discussed before and I either missed it or forgot. Is there any connection between this tractor
producer and the chainsaw company?

It's the same company, started by the same founder. There are not a lot of websites that mention anything more than their first tractor model, the 140, but TractorData shows that the same company manufactured the other Stihl tractors as well:

According to what I found the Andreas Stihl group produced tractors in Germany from 1949 to 1965. 4 different models from 12 hp to 30 hp using a 2 cycle diesel.
