The driver's window on my 2002 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton will not go entirely up. The pickup had set unused for a while and there is a possibility that the glass may have been sort of stuck in the weather stripping/molding. I think when I moved the switch to roll the window down there may have been a "pop" noise. Originally I thought the window regulator (up / down mechanism) had went bad. Got a chance today to tear it apart. Once I had the regulator out of the door I hooked it back up to the electrical switch and it worked just fine. I am thinking that the metal clips (2 total) at the bottom of the window that the window sets in have slid. If the clip slid outward it could only push the window about 1/2 way up. Can anyone verify that this can happen? If so, how are the clips that fasten to the glass held in place on the glass? Looked to be some dry adhesive down inside the clip. Secondly, when I put the clips back on how do I know where to position them left to right? Thanks.
