Diesel Fuel Leak

Hello,
I know have my Oliver 550 ready to start only one of the couplings on a fuel line is leaking around the threads. There are a total nine couplings in this fuel supply system so to have only one leak is not too bad. I was wondering if I could use Teflon tape to wrap the around threads or is there another product out there to stop the leaks?

most are flare fittings and some have rubber washer on line and some have brass ball on the line find what you have .kills me when people put tape on garden hose faucet

Tape or paste is for tapered pipe threads. As marloweg and showcrop posted it depends on the type of fitting connection to decide on the proper repair.

I had mine apart one time, and as I recall the fittings had strange little rubber washers- like an o-ring but square in cross section. Mine were all OK, but I remember thinking at the time "good luck finding those" if I'd needed them.

You can get those washers, I've even bought them on Ebay. Dealers and pump shops too.
