I have an old brush hog with a regular straight shaft to the PTO. I have a guy that wants to buy it but he has a farmall A with the offset PTO shaft. Does anyone know if this brush hog will work with his tractor.

Maybe. If the tractor and bush hog are close (Neighbors) the best is to try it. Off setting the tow point is better,
because it lets the cut track stick out to the side and cut into/under things. If the bush hog's drive shaft has 10 inches
of extension and compression from straight ahead it might work normally. It is very important that the turns be gradual
enough not to cause Ujoint vibration anyway. Not knowing what experience the purchaser has, makes the sale an "as is where
is" deal. Jim

It should work, we had a 268 bush hog that
had the pto going to one gearbox from the
tractor at an angle I stead of a gearbox
in the middle.

It will work. Mine has a universal at the tractor, and a universal at the mower. To run a 5 ft mower. Stan
