Thanks for all the advice.
It will most likely out live me traveling at top speed of 5 mph. This was a learning experience. Hope I'lI never have to work on another Dsna 44.

George way to go you had a big challenge but you did well you will have a nice machine for a long time. Randy

So are the floorboard height extensions for her short legs or do you need them too? My Mother was only 5' tall and she did all the plowing with the 700 Case. Pa built something like yours for her little legs.

No step for a stepper, never any doubt in my mind you would make it , anyone that loves termites like you has to be good.. LOL Hope you are stay in.

Jm.
The terramite has advantages because of its size. The HST on Kubota is superior.
Combine the two and name it a terra-bota.
I'll never get rid of my 2 terramites or the Kubota. I like them both.
If I have to attach implements to the Kubota, I'll use the terramite to do the lifting.
I'm glad I was able to meet you.
Maybe next year if things ever go back to normal.

I used a JD mower seat which raised the seat. So I had to elevate foot rest. The higher seat is better for my long legs

The project turned out very nice. What a well built machine. I love it when the employees of a great company has so much pride in their product that it lasts for decades. You took on a fairly big project and prooved that you have the knowledge and experience to finish in record time. I'd still be in the disassembly stage.

Because many DIY rentals use terramites they get a lot of abuse.
Both mine were originally Rentals units.

I have no idea how the clutch disks, part of the limited slip, got damaged on both left and right side. Those pieces of metal damaged the gears.
I'm glad I bought a complete differential from East coast gear $320.
Bearings $125. George

Well done, George!

My guess is the differential was damaged in spinouts. If both wheels are spinning and the throttle is wide open, if one tire grabs something has to give. With a non-locker, the energy from the stopped wheel just gets transferred to the spinning wheel. But a locker isn't going to allow that, so the energy from both wheels has to be absorbed by the clutch plates. Do that too many times and they're likely to fail. Failure to use the proper friction-modified lubricant would aggravate the problem.

Since your sweetie has appropriated this machine for her own, have you considered painting it pink?
