a friend who has multiple health issues called this morning and asked if I could bring one of my tractors over and help him move some equipment. They had sold some property and the virtual closing is set for Friday. I said of course, hooked up the trailer and we got er done. We both wore our masks - under county wide order - but it felt good to visit with a long time friend and help out. We were in college at SWT in the 60's but didn't know each other but his wife taught my son and knew my daughter in elementary school, I trimmed their horses toes, my late wife and I went dancing with them and we have been friends for well over 30 years. This is to me what life is all about.

Helping today is of major importance. Eat some pie. Sorry it is virtual, stay away from the screen Jim

It sure feels good and now more than ever. I went with the assumption that I'll receive a stimulus check and divided it between a few charities including a local inter-faith foodbank and a battered women's shelter. If I never see the check, that's ok too.

My stimulus amount showed up in my bank account today. Gonna transfer it to a savings account of some sort.

Agreed Steve. Retiree's drawing a pension and social security, should forward their stimulus check to a few food pantries. Our income has not been affected. The restaurant workers and waitresses, not so much. Saw a gut wrenching story on the news about a local food pantry with 100 cars in line. The guy being interviewed was almost in tears as he described a single mom with 4 kids in a car, (laid off waitress) with absolutely no food. St. Louis County.
