Did not plan on doing this on Easter.

We ended up with about 4". First they forecast 7-11", then a while later 7", then yet later, 4" in one forecast and 1.5" in another forecast. I sure hope this is winter s last breath.

Melvin and Sanborn are about 50 miles northwest of me. They were forecast to get more snow than my area but I don't know how much they ended up with.

Ya this has reverted us back darned near four months to a landscape we would normally see during Christmas or while we are Christmas shopping. I am not getting the tree out for this one though.

Just got done with chores, I measured 9" in several places, same up by the woods where the cows are. Wonder how much we really got since it was 42* when it started and is just now down to 32*, water underneath. Shoveled the deck, I'd call that hearth attack by the shovel snow. Can't plow the drive, just put 4 loads of rock on it last week.

Well I will admit I took a little rock off the yard in a couple of places. I dumped the snow back on a rocked area so I really didnt lose it, I just relocated it. LOL. I should have used the box scraper as I can control it better than the loader but I had the loader tractor out of the shed to push a few logs together in the burn pile so I thought what the heck, I had just as well move snow with it. I wouldnt have messed with the snow at all but empty trucks that might come in are worthless on wet snow. Its easier to push snow out of the way than pull a truck out of it.

We got 6-7 inches heavy wet stuff here, about 80 miles West of Sioux Falls down I-90. Looked like more in SF area, as well as South & West of here. More water to send to the Gulf, everything is full around here. I don't see much dirt turning around here for a couple of weeks at least.

We wont see any field work for a few days, maybe a week after this snow. The one, and only one reason this snow is good is for those who have seeded grass. Our local threshing show drilled in 35 acres of wheat Friday. This snow is just what they need to get it germinated and growing.

It looks refreshing to me.
It was 92* yesterday in central FL.
Heat index close to 100.
Not sure which is worse the cold set back there or the continued hot heat headed this way!
