1973/74 Case 644

I'm working on a CASE 644 front loader and I believe the banana plate is worn. Where can I find the specs on the banana plate?

Also I have heard that I should use 30 weight motor oil in my hydraulics instead of hydraulic oil. Any views on this?

Use 15-40 wt dsl engine oil in the hyd system on the bannana plate,, I would call Bill @ 608-924-1662 he should be able to have a answer and or know where to get one he has lots of parts for the Case Compacts

What is the advantage of using diesel oil over hydraulic oil?

That system Requires it,, scored pumps are very common to those who use hyd fluid as it gets to thin at the temps these operate at,, 20-50wt is the original recommendation, for year around use 15-40wt is the choice in todays oils,,
