Its past 7:06 pm so a pic of a G706 might be in order.

I grew up in NE Iowa (Independence), local Ford tractor dealer sold MM, they never caught on but a few out there. We were only four hours south of Minneapolis and two hours NW of Moline, do not know if that made any difference.

We had a G708. Big boy for its time. It would go though anything. Don?t recall getting it stuck where I couldn?t get it out just by unhooking the implements. Low RPM tractors. Just rumble down the field. They are a very long tractor because of the split block 6 cylinder engine. The week spots are the rubber boots covering the front U-joints and rubber boot on the power steering. Both need to be in place if working in any dirt at all. And it takes 40 acres to turn around.

yes they are a very smooth riding tractor, like a Cadillac. I farmed with a massey 97 for a few years and liked it. really liked the sound of that engine. it was cheap H.P. before that had a 930 case and that dam thing almost buck you out of the seat cause the tractor was so short. that is one of the roughest riding tractors I ever run. I still will take those over the old case.

There were more weak spots than the rubber boots, but they were grand old tractors. Spent many hrs. on them.
