What farmall do we have

Hoping for some help to figure out what this old farmall we have in the barn is. We want to restore it so went to look at the serial number but it is pretty much unreadable. The one from the side of the seat that is. The engine code reads 2-15-T. tranny reads 1-2-T. on the chassis under the seat it says 2-2-T and 351131-R something. So its been painted red poorly at some point as the belts, hose ,everything is red. But when we look close in spots where the paint is wearing off it looks white. Anyone help with how we can find out if it was originally white. Only numbers we can read on tag on side of seat is 1815 on the bottom and a 68 above it. Rest is gone. Thanks in advance. G

Those are casting codes that tell the date of the casting at the foundry, not the date it was put in a tractor. Usually
within no more than a month, but some are outside of that. If a major casting was replaced its date code will be wrong. The
351131-R is a part number for that part. the 1815 is maximum speed under no load. But what we need in=s a photo. Below
there is a "upload Photos and videos box Near the bottom of the whole display, above TRACTOR PARTS AND MANUALS. Jim

If the tag is on the seat bracket, it's
probably an A, B, or C series. Could be
Super A, or Super C. I don't know where
the # series, the next generation of the
above earlier mentioned letter series put
their serial #'s. If the seat brackets
were used, it could be one those, too.

You seem to be implying that the seat is offset to one side of the tractor. Is that correct? Is so, that would narrow it down to an "A", "B" or Cub.

What size are the rear tires? I assume that it doesn't have the narrow front wheel spacing. Does it have electric start and lights? Look in the Tractor Photos section of this
web site.

Thanks. We thought it was but because it has been repainted and stickered we wanted to be sure. Any other serial numbers located on
it that we can look for since the tag is unreadable to find out if it was white originally? We want to re paint it properly. Thanks

Your tractor appears to have already been restored. I suggest putting some fuel in and driving it. It'll be the cheapest restoration in the history of tractors.

Well red isn't my color for tractors but I will admit a C is a nice tractor and it doesn't look bad either. Get yourself an owners manual and repair manual to learn about
it and have fun. Probably you can get manuals from this site, if not they won't be hard to find for that tractor.

The engine serial number is starting to show in upper RH corner.
The tractor number would be a few higher, depending on how many
engines went elsewhere before assembly was done.

The reference below says that there was never any factory serial number records to indicate the ones that were painted white from the factory, but I think a "true" white demonstrator would be bare metal under the white, not red under the white. hat's not always easy to verify. Apparently, once the demo days were over, the dealer was supposed to repaint them red before selling locally. No doubt a lot of guys have painted a red one white oveer the years and claimed it to be the real thing, especially since they are supposed to be more collectable and expensive. The link below explains it prettyh well I think, there are also videos on line if you Google "White Farmall Demonstrators" or something like that.
