bought a pickup at an auction in Salt Lake City.
So Im going to go get it.
Flying isn't my thing, even in the best of times. But now?
Well, the mouse must run some risks to get the cheese.
There's only about 20 people on board this plane.
Plenty of room for social distancing - if there is such a thing in this long metal petri dish called an A319.
$102 one way. Pretty cheap.
One stop in Phoenix.
Air travel is still pretty marvelous if you don't do it often.
How do you get to SLC?
Just go to Phoenix and hang a right.
I'll be there by noon.
The odds are that I'll be okay.
Just like not wearing seat belts sometimes. Or the people who work at Home Depot or the grocery store. I mean, working there ain't a death sentence is it?
I dont think it is.
That's why I got this mask.
And I'm going anyway.

If delta is flying Minneapolis to Phoenix for 100 bucks one way they are still doing ok.

The N95 mask leaks to much air around my nose.
Page 2 on tales is my choice.

I tried wearing mask and safety glasses. The air leaking fogged up my glasses.

The N95 mask is too ridged to fit me.
Good luck
George

I have a box of those in my gangbox, thankfully, fit one and wore it in the grocery store and just kept my distance. Never figured to use them for anything other than dust when doing some demo work here at my house. They are sanitizing the belt at check out, there is plexiglass barrier at the checkout. Generally, people seem to be dealing with it casually, well most anyways. I see a carry out basket left in the cart shed, nitrile gloves, a bunch of plastic, kind of sloppy and selfish, someone has to clean up their mess. Have a safe trip to and from, can't wait to hear what you bought!

Up here, they are almost shaming people who wear an N95 mask .... since they should be used only by health care workers. Not that it makes any sense, but even if a person had his own supply (like Home Depot sold them), someone would give you the glaring eyeball for having one on. Up here now they are encouraging use of the cheaper masks, not that they claim they are totally bulletproof but that they are probably (and they make that clear) better than not wearing any mask. Enjoy the trip !!

That metal strip across the bridge of your nose is suppose to be bent to fit ya know.

Should be a good drive back, that'll be the fun part of the trip. Bought a beat-up old '67 Mercury pickup years ago, drove it back from SLC to Maryland. Amazing thing is it made it.

you know ther is three sizes and you have to shape them, wore the p95 for years on the farm. and still do today.

I was scrounging around my glove and mask "cache" and found I had 3 N95s, and probably 20 hospital pleated, over the ear types, several boxes of 5 and 7 mil Nitrile gloves. I hear you on what others might think not knowing I didn't deprive anybody of anything. Case density is really light here and it's a toss up whether or not to fool with the mask and gloves, or just avoid folks and do the hygiene thing when finished, including the groceries proper......and don't forget the mail in the mail box.....no telling what may be on that.

Seems I can't wear a mask around the shop without my glasses fogging up, or my nose itching, or my nose developing condensation and dripping and tickling, or one wild hair in the sinus passage that has to annoy me...... or the elastic ear pieces cutting into my ears on and on. So I'll just play it by ear.

Since your from MN, you should drive that truck to the west of SLC to the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Drive out onto the flats so the truck can see what is instore fore it back in the MN winter roads!
