Lockdown day 6 domestic duties

Well my wife is looking better and coughing less. Looks like the worst is over. Glad to be around the corner on that.

Didn't do much outside yesterday, just didn't feel ambitious. Did do some cleanup on the 400 and made sure the block was good and got the parts ordered. Also took the heads in to be checked and repaired. Since my wife has been sick the house needed some work so I took on that job. I'm not real enthusiastic about house work. Lol. When I was taking a break I called my youngest daughter for a chat. She told me when she is having a hard time enjoying her house work she puts on a pretty dress and high heals and pretends she's Cinderella, said it makes it more fun. I gotta say I never felt like Cinderella myself.

I did make a pot of beef soup. Been wanting some home made soup for a while and yesterday seemed like the day.

Sat down and enjoyed a bowl, or three, last evening.

Gotta say, after the porridge I felt a lot more like Little Red Ridinghood than Cinderella. Took a nap too. Wasn't any bears there when I woke up tho, thankfully.

Not sure what's on the agenda today, got some rain this morning which was nice. Looks like most of two weeks of nice weather now. Should be in the fields early this year if that keeps up.

Jonf,

Don't take your daughter's advice - being unused to high heels... you're bound to twist an ankle. GRIN

Hope your wife is on the way to being well. Tell her to keep up with extra rest, fluid intake, etc. They say hot liqids are good, since the heat kills-off viruses and bacteria.

Agree on good job in the kitchen. When you get all that put away, around here, chicken soup seems to be a remedy for respiratory problems. No idea as to fact or fiction, or which if any specific ingredient, but that's what we have and mommie fed me growing up.

If your wife has the virus and you are under quarantine, should you inform the place you took the heads to that you were under quarantine? Or did you wear PPE? Not trying to start an argument, but we do need to do the social distance thing. Mark.

Good deal-we all have to be safe in these times. I'm glad to hear your wife is recovering. Good luck, Mark.

Happy she is feeling better. Stay healthy. Nothing wrong with helping around the house. Dress and high heels best kept to yourself.

You gonna inform the head of the gestapo if he didn?t? Lord have mercy I?m glad I don?t live near you.

Question:is it 14 days from the time you catch covid19 that a person is no longer contagious and did or will you have to take the test at some point?

I have no idea. All I know is my boss says I'm off work til at least next Monday. Around here we can't get a test unless we need hospitalization. They wouldn't let my wife be tested either. Just told her she has it and to stay home unless she can't breath. Was close for a day but she's much better today.

The answer is 14 days since you last had contact with a person that has the virus in the transmitting stage. It is because some do not show signs of having the virus for up to 14 days.

It?s the reason ICU nurses are not allowed to even go home after their shift. They could look and feel fine but spreading the virus.

Good news Jon ! Just the same I think my Baler needles better stay in quarantine for a couple more weeks 😷😷

Thank you for sharing what?s happening to you and your wife.seems like info on this virus is kinda all over the place.

Glad to hear your wife is doing better! But I am disappointed no selfie of you in heals and a pretty dress:) Didn't take your daughters advice?

LAA, there are always a few that just don't get it. It is noticeable to me that there are very few here now.

Most importantly..... thank goodness your better half is making a positive recovery. That beef soup with veggies looks so wonderfully good. I don't care where you're from!
