For the sun to shine . Put new points on the tool carrier front row of shanks and the rear two rows of shanks will still have 14 and 16 inch wheatland sweeps I run chisel points on the front so it will go in the ground When it?s hard and sweeps in the back so it will turn more dirt . Also put the Cummins 53 block repair to the test hauling the tractor and drill got everything good and hot still no dye showing up with the uv light time will tell but I don?t think it?ll crack again It cracked at 270,000 miles probably a little before that it now has 302,000 on it and it?s Bren cracked for over a year

Looks like you are ready to go ! Here in Tn. the weather has cooperated the last few days but I keep getting hit with crazy stuff out of the blue that keeps me from getting much done.

SV have you ever tried the twisted 3 inch teeth? They will both go in when hard and turn dirt with each tooth. Will give it good ridges to catch snow or hold water if cross wise to a hill. With chisel plow shanks you might have trouble pulling that many teeth if you put it in the ground very deep we usually run about 8-10 inches deep with 16 teeth pulled with 150 plus horse.

Are you in high gear? RPMs seem high for a diesel.
Sounds like you did a good job on the crack and saved a expensive engine! What caused it to crack?

Dang I seen those twisted shovels at the case dealer last winter forgot all about them! I have to make 3 passes to get it loose enough to pull it 8 or 10 inches deep especially without duals on . Even whet I had my big yellow 4 wheel drive it was hard to pull very deep the first pass

Running 4th gear ⚙️ not overdrive . I was running just under 30,000 gvw so my new rule is no overdrive when loaded that heavy . The speedometer reads slow actually at 65 mph .

Cummins was replacing them up until about 2008 or so they?d give you a new block but you had to take it to Cummins to have the work done and you had to have a rebuild kit installed all new pistons and everything so by the time you did all that it still wasn?t that great of a deal especially when the block cracked with less than 100,000 miles

SV Shoup has them and free shipping if over 200.00 That is why I like buying there is the free shipping. I do compare prices against theirs with shipping some times works out.
