Ford 8000 and Bush Hog

I hooked up the 3008 Bush Hog to the 8000 I bought a few months ago. Backed in all along an old fence row to cut some brush. I bought the Bush Hog 3008 for my Ford 5000 before I had the 8000 Sure looks small behind the 8000!

When I was in three cornered pant I wore the front spindles off 2-8000?s farming the sand box and running through mud puddles. The X000 and X600 always had a place in my heart. In ?78 Pa bought a brand spanking new 4600 and it served him well until it left on auction in ?99.
 
I put a lot of hours on one in my sandbox too. It was my big tractor. the neighbor kid came to get it when his got stuck. We could get a lot of square footage done when we ran plows both tractors.
 
Never drove one but always liked the looks of them. A local farmer had two one with a cab and one with a roll guard and canopy. He always kept his equipment clean and painted up. Tom
 
Nice rig - looks like a good match. Spent a lot of time pulling a manure spreader and a 6-18 plow with an 8000. In our neck of the woods a 6 bottom plow was about one too many for it, but it was a good tractor. The shuttle shifter did take some getting used to though.
