Maybe eating a lot of pickles

This time of year I plant my cucumbers. The dill is already planted. Cucumbers will go in in a few weeks. My wife cans pickles to sell at our local craft fair in the fall. The wife makes around 70 quarts of dill pickles. If this virous thing is still ongoing there may not be a craft fair, and we will have a lot of pickles to eat. The community already cancelled the yearly beer, and bratwurst festival the end of the month. Stan

Have the Fair using web site that links customers with supply. Put the ad in the paper and local radio. Use cash only transactions at the drive way road intersection.
I just purchased several parts for my lawn mower that way. Jim

I am a Bread and Butter pickle fan and I go through a 24oz jar in about 10 days. We bought 3 jars for this "stay at home" period. Come May 1st, don't be in my way at the store. LOL

I love homemade pickles. And I always enjoy watching the Andy Griffith Show when Aunt Bea made the famous "Kerosene Cucumbers."

To make this tractor related....I do a lot of hot garlic dill pickles. I like them crunchy, my mother used alum, I bought something at Walmart that is supposed to keep them crunchy. I looked at the ingredients and it was listed as calcium chloride! Anyone know what that is normally used for??

AFAIK calcium chloride was used pretty often to weight down tires and destroy wheels.
