Avery Threshing Machine Spike Tooth

I found what I believe might be a possible Salesmans Sample of an Avery Threshing Machine Tooth. It measures just over an inch and a half in length. It even has a nut on it that is threaded. But there is a clasp or something on the top like a watch fob would have for a leather strap possibly. It says Avery Teeth Talk on one side and Jumbo Tool Steel on the other. Any one have any ideas? Thanks a lot - Bob

I don't know if you remember the post I had 3 or so weeks ago about buying the 1925 Chevy Car that had been sitting in a shed since the mid 90's, but I found it there. The guy that owns the old farmstead is a friend of mine. The house is empty, but it was his Grandparents house, and it was left just like it would have been in the 40's. Full of neat stuff. I saw this in an old cigar box with other trinkets. I knew right away it was a threshing machine tooth, but also knew it was too small, plus the loop on the end. Anyway, it is sure a neat piece. Thanks - Bob

Tried to load a video in the post above this one, but for some reason it doesn't seem to want to load. Bob
