Are two speed rear ends worth anything anymore?

Changed out the axle from under my dump trailer. No more two piece rims for me. Used be be an ad in the paper looking for two speed rear axles. They have any value anymore?

Only if you need the parts. It would have been a lot easier to just changed the hubs if you wanted budd or hub piloted wheels. You can also slide 22.5 rims on where 20's were with no problems just swap and tighten. There is the spinning true part though for a dump trailer behind a tractor not a problem. 22 inch rims will swap with 24.5 rims . The 22.5 and 24.5 are tubeless tire sizes.

At the same time I removed the suspension springs in order to lower it and make it more stable. Lowering it makes it easier to load with a skid steer. Cost me nothing as I got the semi trailer axle for nothing.

Now that you have swapped in a Semi Trailer Axle..... Mount some hydraulic cylinders to actuate the brakes on the axle!

That would be hard to do as I cut off the shafts. I pull it with either a 4640 or 4840, and I very seldom go on the road. I had thought of mounting a hydraulic motor on the old axle to power out of wet spots, but never got around to it. I much prefer that I got rid of the leaf springs. It was a struggle to load it with a Deere 317 skid steer.
