Please help identify my tractor

New to the forum and new to tractors so I m hoping the pictures go through but I have a tractor that I would like to restore but I don t know what model it is. I am pretty sure from the serial number that it s either an International I-4, I-4 heavy duty, or a McCormack-Deering W-4, O-4 or OS-4 and that the tractor is either a 1943 or 1944.The serial number is located on a plate on the left side of the clutch housing and the only part I can read is the serial number; 6927. The grill I have is in my garage and has an International badge on the front of it. All evidence would point to it being an International I-4 of some kind but I d just like to be sure before I start buying parts for the wrong tractor. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for reading

Might be you have the original McCormick John Deere International Harvester. Not many of those made.
Johnny Cash had one. He got it one piece at a time and it didn't cost him a dime.
I bet your's might look like his did.

You got some pic's?

I am planning on building something like that.
It will be the Ferguson-Ford.
Most folks might have a Ford-Ferguson, but I will change mine up just a tad bit.
However I don't think much might beat your McCormick John Deere International Harvester.

I m not sure how why the pictures didn t post but I will try to post them on this reply I suppose. I hate how forums work. So inconvenient.

It would be convenient to know exactly what model you have, but likely any service parts you would need would be the same for each model listed

That s what I m trying to figure out. I just don t want to buy a bunch of parts if they won t work.

Look on a flat spot below the #1, very front, spark plug. Should be a number starting with IBHM, or WBHM. May or mat not match your serial number. Does it have a foot throttle? If you look at the serial number tag, where the section before and beside the serial number, does it look like someone hit it with a screwdriver to make an I?

Sometimes it takes a few post before you can put pics up. You might have to contact the administration and ask for permission. In the meen time you can do a Google search. This site and tractor data both have pretty good info.

I m not sure about the letters but it does have a foot pedal throttle. It almost looks custom. It s out at on my mother s property and I can look for those letters tomorrow. Do you know what those letters mean? Thanks for the reply!

Ethen welcome to YT. It is my understanding that the new poster picture limitations are no longer in place. Are
you trying to post your pictures from a phone? If so the file size is likely to large, I know that to be the case of
iPhone pictures. What you can do is email the picture to yourself, and when it ask the choice of picture size
before it sends chose small. Save that photo after it comes back to you in your mail. Now chose the saved small
file pic to upload to post. Best of luck!

Thanks! That was probably my problem. I ll try posting some pictures tomorrow. And it s always nice to get help from a fellow Minnesotan! I m originally from Brainerd. Thanks again for the help!

Yes. IBHM would be for the code for I4, WBHM - W4, OBHM - O4,OS4 engine. Assuming factory enigne, that will tell you what tractor
it is. The foot throttle is a give away, most of the time, thats its an I4. It "should" also have a pintle type hitch, but not all
of them did. Even though mine is cobbeled up right now, that way when I bought it, it came with the standard drawbar from the
factory. The guy I bought it from ran it for years since it was new, and he said it always had the drawbar until something on it
broke and they had it repaired. They werent happy with the way it was cobbled, so they retired it in 1960, he bought it, and used
it at home every since skidding logs.
