Request from YT

Chris and Kim have posted several times over the years, for people to please NOT reply to posts by spammers - instead, just report it to the moderators.

If I recall correctly, it is because replying to a spammer, then verifies to the spammer that they have a valid IP address.

Not to mention it's a waste of effort. It serves no purpose. The spammer isn't going to read your responses. The spammer isn't going to run home in tears if you call them names. The spammer isn't going to be scared off by idle threats of violence.

The spammer is long gone. They dropped their payload and they're on to the next target. You're talking to an empty chair.

Are you saying that I'm not going to get that new john deere tractor for the $250 I sent to Nigeria??

Dang they charged me $350.

My son that knows the systems.Told me if you respond to the post. You will open your system up to the scammers. They can then use your system to scam others. He showed me how they can do it. But it was over my head.Best advice he had. If you don't know who it is don't answer.

I take it you're talking about clicking on any link(s) in a spammer post? All I have to do is hover my mouse pointer over the spammer link and I can see the URL in the lower left corner of my screen.

If you don't click on their link, I don't know how it's possible they could even know you read their post, much less opening up your system to them.

I agree - NEVER click on unfamiliar links!

Funny how removing a spammer is harder than making other things go "POOF!"
Now watch this get Poofed. . . .
Poof
Poof
Poof
Po
