need help with bearing info.

I am in need of a wheel bearing. The cup OD is 3.2656 and needs to fit a tapered cone with a Id of 1.500. I stopped by a bearing store. Unless I would buy 50.00 worth of parts he didn't want my business, and wasn't a lot of help. Thanks Stan

stan if you have a john deere dealer nearby, check them out. they probably have it in stock.

I'd call Applied. If nothing else maybe they can give you part numbers to take somewhere local. The one in Jackson Mi has been very helpful to me.

If you go to the Timken web site and search for bearings by size and shape, being that you have such accurate measurements, I'm sure you'll find it. I did this myself 3 - 4 months ago, once I was convinced I had the right bearing # I called the local automotive parts store and he had everything here, including seals, in less than 24 hrs. His prices were better than some Amazon listings. It's the digging for sizes and numbers that counter persons don't want to take the time to do unless they are very helpful by nature.

Stan I hear you on the guy wanting $50 in business. I left a company that was the same way. Local (right down the street) business came in one morning big hurry needed an adapter, cost about $1.50. Boss wouldn't sell it to him, said to process the invoice cost more. Boss had a point but the guy did about $5000.00 a year with us. I said just mark it down add it to his next order. Nope no way. Lost a good customer and of course upset ex-customer told everyone about how he was treated.

Can you read any numbers on it? I've been getting bearings and seals from "locateballbearings.com". Enter the numbers in the search box. Call the order in, I haven't had much luck with the online ordering.

RockAuto has bearing and cone on hand. you just enter the numbers and search. I got rear axle seals and bearings for my 445 Minneapolis Moline Industrial there, I even got a carb kit for my 39 B John Deere from them by crossing a part number from NAPA. They have access to many warehouses so they have more than car parts.
