Not sure which bucket newer tractors go in so am throwing this out here. Looking at 2005 CaseIH JX 95 w/cab & FWA, 1600 hours. Zero experience with newer red tractors and don't see many of these models around so seeking feed back. Would be haying, chore tractor. 100 hours, maybe, a year. Observations, thoughts? Thanks.

Neighbours had a JX 75, they are a Turkish built sort of economy tractor. Spur gear final reduction. Simple machine but straightforward to run. I believe still has that quirky fiat heritage pto dry clutch spring setup but seems to work ok now.

Like the other poster said they are an economy line of tractors. Have a neighbor that bought a cab 95 . His worst problem is things like air leak in around the brake pedals, and controls. Kind of a bad fit on the cab and pretty noisy. Must be some reason they do not bring top dollar around the auctions.

Only experience I have is as a mechanic. Make sure there is always free play on clutch and pto links. I put a clutch in one (fingers burned off) and then put new fingers on that clutch in 50 hours. Throwout bearings are weak point. This tractor had less than 500 total hours and I was NOT the first to split it at the clutch. I suspect the customer or driver was resting his foot on the clutch pedal causing the bearing to get hot and fail. That's the only one I have worked on here.

I agree with the rest on here as its a cheaper line of tractors, I looked at a few but from talking to others if you are going to work it its not the best. I ended up going to a caseih C80 has Perkins motor and better drive line.

I don?t think it?s so simple, the local dealer has had lots of them apart for similar work before 500 hours as well. Neighbours 75 was apart twice for clutch and clutch linkage problems while under warranty. Dealer said it was just adjustments but I didn?t talk to them myself.

I bought Farmall 95 new in 2010. Out the loader on it. AC is a little weak. Real fuel efficient. Makes a great sprayer tractoe, haying from theMOCo to the round baler and then loading up a semi with round bales. 100% trouble free but I keep up with all the scheduled preventative maint.
