Steering wheel restoration

Since the fellow passed away that ran the MNKOTA tractor steering wheel service, there's been no proper rubber type steering wheels available, just plastic Chinese ones. In the recent issue of Farm Show, Jerry Trcka of Evergreen Restorations (www.evergreengauges.com) told how he is now selling proper steering wheels again. He has the pressure molds and the folks in Iowa that have the rubber product used my MNKOTA in the past is now being used by him. He makes most major swap meets in the midwest and you may have met him with his gauge restoration/new sales biz. Top class product, polished stainless rim, clean crisp faces, glass, not plastic, faces etc Now he's selling, redoing. steering wheels, your core, or if common, his got wheels ready to ship. He's out of Spooner WI, with his all American made products. I've a couple of tractors with his Case gauges and they are top quality. Lot's of talk over the past years about the status of the old MNKOTA outfit, so it's neat to see a quality product again. Larry

If the word gets out, I feel there is a strong market for this service. Thanks for posting this info.

I have a badly cracked Farmall H steering wheel. I sprayed 8 - 10 layers of black truck bed coating on it, sanding off the high spots. Works great, is textured, grippy, black, long lasting. Fits perfect, looks great.

Check ebay. I have had great luck with Ford wheels dating back to the 100 series tractors.....never had an N so I didn't have to go back that far to test the water on availability.

I bought this wheel off E-Bay 10 years ago. Very happy with it. I'm pretty sure this site sells them.
