Google "Double wire hose clamp" Stieners has them, Restoration Supply Company has them as well, and an unnecessarily complicated website/catalog too!

They used to be so easy to remove, just a quick snip with a wire cutter.
You should be able to find some for a buck or so. It may take some busy work
but you could make your own.

I didn't now what to expect when I opened this "best hose clamp ever" thread, but those &^$# wire things would not make MY list of the "best hose clamps ever".

I can't even IMAGINE mucking around with them except on a "correct" restoration where they were factory equipment.

But to each their own!

Double07 I watched the video on
that. Looks like it would be a
little hard to use in a tight
place since you have to flip the
tool over to finish. I would
like to get one. So what's your
take on using it in tight spots?

The amazon link Posted is a good source, also look at the restoration Parts suppliers.

They sell all sizes, single or bulk.

I never thought much of them. The stainless with the worm screw work about the easiets with the least problems for smaller hoses. If they need to be kept tight and are on larger hoses the constant tension ones with the bolt and washers work the best for that. You do have to watch over tightening if using silicone hoes they will cut it from over tightening.

Actually the clamps on a newer Ford pickup are the best. Constant pressure. Lock open. Snap tight.

But if you're charging a farmer $10 per hour to fix his tractor, you're not
going to waste time over a 15 cent hose clamp.

I hate those clamps ! I'll take a stainless steel band clamp with a hex head with a slot in it any day over those.

CDMN ..... clamps aside, charging $10 per hour to fix a tractor? Someone must be desperate for work ....

I apologise for not answering your question, as I always install silicon hose, as well as the proper Clamps. One time replacement....:)
