Cleaned the M up a bit.

For now. Got a Naa I'm gonna go pick up in a week or so and the M will go to my dad's. Then it will be 3 Fords and 3 Farmalls. And the Allis B.

You have the narrow fronts set to the "wide" position. That makes for "very hard" steering on these tractors without power steering. I don't know how old you are, but if you're young and strong, you probably don't have trouble with hard steering. If they were mine, I would be changing them to the narrowest position. The narrow position is also safer for traveling in road gear, at least in my opinion.

The rim brackets go inside the wheels. I'm defining the wheels as the red color part. Some folks say the hub has to come off to switch the rims, but that's not necessary if you "do it right".

It's a bit hard to see the wheel-to-rim detail. Can you post a close up picture of a wheel/rim of each tractor. I think some of the very early "H"s and "M"s had rim brackets that wouldn't allow any side ways movement. There are folks on here that probably know that detail.

nice herd! keep your thumbs on the outside of the steering wheel on the H and M. If you hit a stone with one tire, the wheel can spin fast ehough that you could end up with a broken thumb.
I thought the A was your dad's, too.

Did you get rid of your MM? Or is that Mick's tractor?

Hi and well done Grandpa and family. All you need is four more and you will have as many as me. 1923 10-20 1940 Farmall BN 1942 W6 1945 Farmall H 1949 Farmall M 1956 B250 1956 B250 1961 B414 and at 76 years old I am still collecting. MJ

Not certain of the H & M but if they are anything like the B & BN with the two front wheel set then all one needs to do is to revers the wheel in other woods turn the wheel rim around and re install. The wheel lugs are off set so turning around the rim moves the complete wheel in or out.

(quoted from post at 21:55:37 02/29/20) Not even close to what I have and I only use one out of the 7 plus I have. By the way are you going to pay fr those manuals?

Hey young fella! Now maybe you have more, and I could be wrong, but grandpa's picture maxes it look like his are all running , LOL!

To switch them you have to have the 3 loops on the inside of the casting for the narrow setting. You have to have all 3 unbolted then wiggle jiggle and get them over the casting. Then bolt back up. Then the fun begins since you will now have less room for the second one. Same procedure. It will steer easier though.

Looking good! I didn?t know you had the H and M. You will need a bigger shed pretty soon.

I wish all my tractors road like my 1950 Farmall C.
It has a Cadillac ride. Love the old Monroe seat with a shock absorber and coil spring.
