Parts Purchasing Online

Hi guys, Sometimes I cant get what I need here from yesterday's Tractor. All States AG Parts has what I need. Can anyone tell me if they are reputable? Been burnt before online and get nervous of outfits I haven't dealt with before.

Good too Know, Thanks. I usually try and buy my parts local but with my old tractors certain parts don't seem to be available over the counter here any more?

I have used All States a few times and always had good luck.
I would say the same thing about the folks here at YT - always
been satisfied with them too.

I am noticing the same thing. Dealer support for old stuff is
getting less all the time, and often the dealer has to order
parts that once would have been in stock. Between higher
cost and longer wait time and sometimes a shipping charge if
you can?t wait for the parts, those of us running and fixing the
older equipment are being pushed towards ordering parts
online, by catalog or eBay.

I, too, have used All-States Ag Parts in the past with very good results. I also use Steiner Tractor Parts, and Messicks. All of them, including Yesterday's Tractors have always provided exactly what I ordered in a timely fashion.

Glad you fellows started this topic. This morning I ordered a couple spindle assemblies for a king Kutter finish mow1er from Agri=Supply. I hope for the best

I've used All States for used parts as well as new aftermarket and had good luck in all cases. I've used Agri-supply for disc blades and been pleased
with price and quality. I've bought lots of stuff off eBay as well and had just a few duds but the returns were no problem.

Thornhill, your local dealer would rather that you didn't bother them with your antique needs.

I have used All States ASAP for years, even before the online buying started. Always have been satisfied with them and their parts are reasonable. I have had things shipped from there
also.

I have been getting A and I parts thru the
local Deere dealer. Seem shipping is
cheaper thru them.

I've used Agra, and visited two of their stores on my way to FL. No complaints with them either. other than I had to visit the two stores to get all my disk blades. I tried calling ahead and they wouldn't order in more to cover me.

the Agpro Deere dealers here in Central Ohio charge $20 per pound shipping...on all parts whether they order them or they are on hand..on top of a 25% mark up over internet price..and Yes All State works good for me too..

Some years ago I ordered a steering wheel from local dealer (won?t mention dealer name) wanted oem, when it
came it was in an A & I box but he invoiced the oem part number and price, dealer said that?s where they get most
of their parts for older tractors so now I order most of my parts online and pay their price, not oem price!!!! I
checked A&I price + shipping when got home BIG difference!!! Felt like returning the steering wheel but didn?t,
probably would have had to pay a restocking charge or such!!!

I have gotten engine blocks from them a few times and had no problems, they are good to work with. depending on what you need if its IH bates corp is another.

I've dealt with ASAP. Have had good results with them. Good to talk to for information too. I've tried to deal with Steiners, was always high to me. They are only about 15 miles from me too.

I have made a good number of purchases on Ebay, including one time a car. Most items have been parts for my 50 year old roadster. I have noticed that Ebay "store" operators will go to great lengths to get a + rating for every transaction. Someone who is selling just one item, however, has much less at stake.

Ya I know eh ! You should walk into the place, doesn't take a rocket scientist to see why parts are so expensive! Hope I can always find a way to keep my 70's farm going, I like working for my self....NOT John Deere !

Thanks for all the info guys ! I'm up in Manitoba Canada and ASAP is going to ship right to my post office eliminating all the hassle at the border and with the shipping they quoted me exchange and all that its still a fair bit cheaper than my aftermarket dealers. Wish me luck!

Most States that borders a Canadian province has an ontrapenure that advertises a drop off for those Canadians to cross the international border and pick up parts.
